Shaare Tefila is an egalitarian synagogue affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism and was established in 1951. Rich in history and Jewish community involvement, our synagogue offers many exciting programs and activities for young and old and maintains a warm, personal and caring environment. Shaare Tefila Congregation is located between Emory Lane and Emory Church Road, on the west side/service road (opposite Olney Manor Recreation Park)
To reach Shaare Tefila when traveling NORTH on Georgia Avenue, past Leisure World and Norbeck Road: Go past Emory Lane to Emory Church Road, then turn left at that corner onto the service road/west side of Georgia Avenue. Travel south for a few hundred feet to the synagogue, and turn right into the property.
To reach Shaare Tefila when traveling SOUTH on Georgia Avenue from the direction of Route 108: Go past the Roots supermarket area on the west side of Georgia Avenue, and at Emory Church Road, make a partial right turn onto the service road there, and continue traveling south until you reach Shaare Tefila, then turn right into the property.
